AES IN NEW YORK

Committed to accelerating the future of energy in New York

New York is a leader in the energy transition with a state goal to reach 70% renewables by 2030, one of the most ambitious renewable targets in the nation.

From Upstate to Downstate and everywhere in between, we utilize our experience and in-house expertise to foster partnerships with customers and co-create solutions to responsibly meet the energy and economic needs of communities across the state. Whether partnering with communities, utility customers, or Fortune 500 companies, we make achieving New York's clean energy targets beneficial for everyone.

PARTNERSHIPS

Together with Anheuser-Busch at Baldwinsville Solar

Anheuser-Busch is proud to be a leading contributor to New York’s economy—and a committed community partner. The solar installation provides an additional 3 million kilowatt-hours back to the distribution grid annually, providing enough solar electricity to brew more than 3 million cases of beverages a year. It supports Anheuser-Busch in achieving their ambitious goal of using 100% renewable energy by 2025.

A group of people stand in front of solar panels during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. They are holding a ribbon marked 'New York State NYSERDA'. Two blue banners flank the group. The setting is outdoors with a clear sky.

Partnership

Committed to supporting our landowners

We understand the importance of protecting farmland and preserving the local environment when developing renewable
energy projects. AES seeks opportunities to deliver added value through our best practices in project development to
protect the land for future generations.

We offer landowners opportunities to tap into new sources of revenue on their land while retaining ownership throughout the entire life of the project. For many, this is a welcome complement to land use and an opportunity to diversify their land investment while hedging against volatile commodity prices. For others, our projects offer an income stream and land-use option where none otherwise existed.

Our team and landowners work together, in partnership, from the early stages of site discussions, through permitting, construction, and operation. The landowner relationship with AES is built on trust and open communication, ensuring our projects create a long-lasting, positive impact for our landowners and local communities.
